the stars are projectors

My Next project will be 6 rings made into mini projectors. The rings will be tied to strings and the projection will shoot on to the ground. I do not know what the images will be yet but i do know it will be off of super 8 film and the lenses I will use from disposable camera's.

the well

So I started a project for my film projection class and have been meaning to post my progress!

But then I scraped it....

The lights wheren't right and I was tired of buying flashlights to try to find the right kind or focus. I have a new one and here is the blue print.

I call it The Well because it portrays the experience of being stuck in a well. It is a theaterical interactive piece. The participant gets in the well from underneath and looking up they see others looking down at them.

The sides I have made from saran wrap to look like wet walls. I will make the outside of the walls black with paint or scrim. If I can not suspend it from the ceiling I will need to make a tripod big enough. The projected image is reflected off a mirror from above and then hits a sheet at the top of the well. I may put a microphone and add speakers If possible to allow the person to speak up and hear their own voice echoed using reverb.

As of now I have partially configured the well out of two pipings and the saran wrap. I will post the clips of the piece when I am able to transfer the video into a lesser format then HD.
